is it possible to block or filter emails that do not contain "To" or "CC" addresses?

The spam filters for my work email through Microsoft Exchange are very poor and I have been adding my own filters over time. Recently I have been receiving more and more emails that are sent with no "To" or "CC" addresses and never come from the same address twice of course, making them very difficult to filter out. Only one recurring one in particular has been using the same subject line, making that one at least filterable.

My question is whether it is possible to create a filtering rule that can catch emails with no "To" or "CC" addresses and are instead only "BCC" me in.

This article explains how to do it for empty subject, so I am guessing you can use it for the TO and CC

Hi Zook,

Thank you for your question.

I agree with Noshs suggestion, we could create transport rule to restrict it.

In addition Noshs suggestion, we suggest you enable anti-spam protection by the following link:

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim

Thank you! The work around I found, and has been working perfectly so far, is to create a rule that checks messages where my name is not in the To box, move it to the Junk E-Mail folder, exempt if my name is in the To or Cc box or except where my name is in the Cc box. This has worked like a charm and is catching all the garbage now.

Ah. This is different from your original statement. You had said that email does not havy anything in the TO or CC which is different from saying my name is not on it. Glad it worked, however. You may mark some of our answers as helful, if you feel like.
